Antica Farmacia di Camaldoli : organic chamomile shampoo for dry hair

€ 10.00

organic chamomile shampoo for dry hair

This soft plant based shampoo is ideal for sensitive scalp and frequent washing. It gives the gentlest , natural cleansing you could find, because it is made with only organic natural ingredients like aloe vera, chamomile and sweet orange that respect the natural balance of the scalp.

This shampoo combines two of my favorite hair care ingredients: chamomile and aloe vera. Aloe Vera has a rich mix of vitamins, minerals and moisture that helps to protect moisture levels and nourish the hair strands. Chamomile reduces irritation to the scalp and gives beautiful shine to the hair. This shampoo will leave dry hair feeling soft, shiny and manageable.

Handcrafted product, based on the recipe of the Ancient Pharmacy of the Camaldolese Monks and enriched with the modern knowledge of the young herbalist monks.

The Ancient Pharmacy of Camaldoli

In the peaceful Casentino forest , close to Florence, the monks of the Monastery in Camaldoli have an ancient tradition of making natural remedies for patients in the hospital of Camaldoli. In an old document dating back to 1048 it is mentioned there were already recipes made for their patients .Today their ancient apothecary still carries these healing ancient natural remedies and supplements, skin and hair care, honey, teas and vitamins.

Camaldoli was also known by the name Fontebuona because of the high quality of its waters, immortalized by the fountain by Ambrogio Traversari in front of the entrance. The building complex includes the medieval apothecary, the church, and the monastery, built beginning in 1046, when monks founded a small hospital near the temple.
